India’s newly created federal investigation agency NIA has registered a case against American terror suspect David Headley and his Canadian accomplice Tahawwur Hussain Rana and four other unknown persons in connection with the 26/11 terror attack.
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram confirmed on Thursday that Headley had visited India several times before 26/11 and once after the attack.
He said that the case filed by the NIA is the fourth such case filed the agency this year in connection with the 26/11 attack.
He said we are inquiring into his activities while his stay in the country � which cities he visited, met with whom and did what.
Indian Media reports quoted a seniour home ministry official that the Government is all set to produce the documents before the US court in January next and press for Hadley and Rana�s extradition to India.
